Finally! After 635 winless days, the Cleveland Browns finally won a game! The atmosphere in FirstEnergy Stadium could not have been more electrified if they had won the Super Bowl.
Struggling quarterback Tyrod Taylor, went 4-14 before suffering a game ending concussion in the second quarter. This opened the door for the 2018 No 1 overall pick, Baker Mayfield, to come in and save the day.
With the Browns trailing the New York Jets 14-0, Mayfield completed his first three passes, putting the Browns’ new kicker, Greg Joseph, in field goal range. The fans were more than ready to have Joseph on the field, and had even given him a standing ovation when he made a field goal during his pre-game warmup! Joseph completed the field goal for three points, with a collective sigh of relief from the fans.
Mayfield has been crowned the New King of Cleveland. His outstanding effort brought the final score to 21-17, and brought the Cleveland Browns fans back to life.
