We are so excited to see the behind-the-scenes footage of the Cleveland Browns that we added HBO to our cable package so we wouldn’t miss a minute of it.
Episode One did not disappoint. Jarvis Landry’s speech to the Wide Receivers was motivational to say the least. Landry was angry because his teammates were not trying hard enough and told them that going forward things have to change. Landry was picked up by the Browns during the off season so he did not experience last year’s zero-win season. He is coming in full of spirit, full of God, and full of “Bless’ms”. Landry says God brought them here- give Him thanks and bless’m.
Hue Jackson has experienced two major losses recently, first the death of his brother and, only two weeks later, his mother passed away. Hard Knocks cameras caught emotional moments of Jackson staying with his team, who he calls family, immediately following his mother’s death.
Jackson is a player’s coach. He forms bonds with his team, and gives advice such as asking new Quarterback, Baker Mayfield, what time he woke up, and telling him he should get to practice earlier like Tyrod Taylor does.
Baker Mayfield is making a lot of accurate throws and looked really good in the first preseason game Thursday night. He seems to be adjusting well to the NFL and has the fans’ hopes up for a winning season.
We can’t wait to see the next episode of Hard Knocks which will highlight the first preseason win. The before, during and after locker room scenes will be inspirational and exciting for all us Browns fans. This is next year!
