Hello Fantasy Football!
We have had several drafts throughout the summer, but things are getting real around here now. Starting yesterday, we have drafts every day for the next few days. We have eight drafts in the next six days, and we are taking off Monday for our annual trek to the Canfield Fair.
Yesterday we were thrilled to receive an invite to the XFT 2022 League, and had a quick draft start – immediately! We are so excited to be in a league that was created by Scott Fish and Dez Bryant!
Don had his first of three FFPC Football Guys Players Championship drafts yesterday. Somehow, he got the fourth pick in all three leagues. What are the chances of that? He will have to be extra creative in order to use different strategies in all three.
This afternoon we are drafting in Michael Fabiano’s Fantasy Dirt League. We can’t even begin to say how exciting it is to be included in a league with so many experts! Thank you, Fabs!
Tomorrow is a big draft day for Don starting bright and early at 10 am with his second FFPC league.
His Huge Trophy Hometown League is annually held the Saturday before Labor Day at a local dive bar. It is fun getting the 16-team league all together once a year, and they always have a lot of catching up to do. The competition is fierce because everyone wants their name on the enormous trophy and the honor of having it on display in their home for a year.
Sunday evening is the third of Don’s FFPC drafts. The overall winner of these leagues can win $500,000 – Hello Vegas if Don wins that!
Monday is Fair Day – our local fair is one of the largest in Ohio. Read about the Canfield Fair here: An Afternoon at the Fair.
Tuesday’s draft is pitting us against each other in the famous Howard Bender Dirty Laundry League! We were intent on meeting Howard at the Fantasy Football Expo this year, but had no idea he would invite us to participate in his couples league. What a surprise! And, an honor! Don has the fourth pick in that draft, also.
