Living in the moment is sometimes easier said than done. Thousands of self-help gurus have written books and posted videos on the latest trend of not worrying about the future or living in a deep sea of regrets. Just breathe, they say, and pay attention to your breath. Well, if you’re human, you probably have more than a few thoughts about the future scrambling around inside your head, and who doesn’t think back on what we could have or should have done instead of what actually took place.
However, this time of year is one of the easiest seasons to simply live in the moment. After months of being cooped up inside, we are able to get back outside and soak up some sunshine. The air is fresh, the breeze is gentle and the birds are chirping in a hundred different bird languages.
We have a lot to look forward to in the future, and are making plans to bring some excitement to our blog. Summer will be here before we know it and soon after we will be making our cheat sheets for our Fantasy Football drafts. Don will start talking about the Canfield Fair and the tons of fair food he eats there every year.
We can look back over one hundred plus blog posts and see what worked for our readers and what didn’t. Live and learn, right? We have made a few mistakes, like the night of the honeybee catastrophe, but hopefully we learned a lesson every time we messed up.
But for now, we are grilling on our new Traeger grill (more about that in the near future), cutting the grass and watching hummingbirds hover around our feeder. No self-help gurus around here, but it is super easy to live in the moment of May evenings and Bradley Zimmer’s first career major league at bat. Go Tribe!
