The week between Christmas and New Year’s Day has always been one of our favorite weeks of the year. The hustle and bustle of Christmas is over and we have the New Year to look forward to.
Our Fantasy Football season is dwindling with only two teams alive in our leagues. Our teams fought the good fight, but injuries took a real toll.
Don is going into his Championship game in his dynasty league. He went into the two week championship having the most points in his league, but is currently losing.
He is also leading in total points in his Hometown League. This league is set up a little different as the regular season coincides with the NFL regular season, and playoffs go right along with the NFL playoffs.
We had a couple disappointing losses that will take a little while to get over. I made it to the Division Championship in Howard Bender’s Dirty Laundry League and lost when I made the mistake of leaving an injured player in my lineup. We were thrilled to be included in Howard’s league and will count being invited to participate as a win. Dirty Laundry is a fun couples league with an awesome group of people.
This was Don’s second year in the Warrior Bowl, and he led his division in total points for the year. He lost the game to play in the championship with a score of 165.57 – 165.5. This is even harder to swallow since the next week he scored over 200 points, and the champion scored 144. It wouldn’t have even been close! It was a fun season and Don is looking forward to being in the Warrior Bowl again next year.
We were honored to be in Michael Fabiano’s Fantasy Dirt League this year. We were co-owners of a team that struggled most of the season. When you’re drafting against a lot of experts, expect to get sniped! Our team tanked with the loss of one of our starting running backs early in the season and our quarterback a little later.
Don was very happy to be in his very first Scott Fish Bowl this year – SFB12. This is the first year the Fish Bowl had live drafts and it was a lot of fun participating in the Canton live draft at the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Don started the season strong but fell short the last few games.
We hope you had a warm and cozy Christmas. Good luck to everybody in their championship games this week!
