Our entry fees are paid, the drafts are over and our picks are in. We sat down today to take inventory of our teams and pools.
Don has five Fantasy Football teams to manage this season. His Hometown Fantasy Football League is ranked high in importance because he wants to bring home that gigantic four-foot-tall trophy. You know, so it can be on display in our Living Room for a year! That trophy means a lot to the Hometown League guys, and of course, nobody wants the Toilet Trophy that will go to the team with the worst record.
He also has three FFPC teams – the Main Event League that just drafted in Vegas, and two of their Classic Leagues that drafted online. The Main Event is the highest stake league that Don has ever participated in. We are both very impressed with the FFPC and thrilled that he is able to compete on this level.
The fifth Fantasy Football league is one that we are doing together – The Football Diehards Listeners League. We will compete against Bob Harris, Mike Dempsey, Bennett Karoll and eight other Diehards listeners. How fun is that!
Don and I are playing Best Ball this year and have a team in a league with Bob Lung. The Fantasy Cares Eliminator Pool will benefit children at Christmas time through Toys for Tots, so I signed up right away even though I have never played Best Ball before. Thankfully, Don is more than willing to help me so I signed him up to be my co-owner.
Last, but not least, we are both in the 5 Rings Survivor Pool. This is an annual eliminator pool, and one of my favorite contests. The New England Patriots knocked me out in Week 1 last year, so I am determined to make a better stand this time around.
