This is a very proud moment for us – our 100th blog post, a little over six months since we came up with the idea to start writing. The blogging world was brand new to us, so this has been an ongoing learning experience. We never expected to have this much fun, and we didn’t have any idea it would grow so big, so fast! We could list 100 things that we love about our blog, but we’ve narrowed it down to our ten favorite things about AFantasyFootballCouple.com.
- Blogging together. It might sound corny, but we have a blast coming up with ideas for posts, talking fantasy football/sports, and planning the future of our blog. This is our baby and we are figuring it out together.
- Family support. My parents and brother edit our posts, Don’s parents share our posts on FaceBook and with their friends, our kids share on social media, and everyone encourages us. So far, none of them have called us crazy!
- Encouragement from The Experts. We are fortunate to have received encouragement from folks who know a whole lot about Fantasy Football and sports in general. We look up to people who are making a living doing what they love to do.
- Research, research, research. The blog gives Don an excuse to watch or listen to sports 24/7. He is always looking for blog-worthy ideas on tv and radio.
- Our logo! It took awhile to come up with the perfect logo, but thanks to our friend, Matt, we have a logo that looks great on the blog and on coffee mugs. T-shirts to follow.
- Feedback, likes, and shares. Every time someone likes our posts, shares, or comments, it makes our day.
- A venue to express our views. There are many situations in sports that we get emotional, excited or angry about. We’ve always talked to each other about those things, but now we also have a venue to express our views to our readers.
- Writing. I love to write and could spend all day every day writing. Don knows sports facts, past and present. Writing about sports is perfect team work for the two of us.
- Awareness. We are both more aware of what is going on in the sports world. We question more, listen more and read more. This goes beyond number four, research! We dig deeper than we used to and try to see the story within the story.
- Appreciation. We appreciate everyone who reads our posts. We love that you read our blog. Thank you for reading! We appreciate the opportunity to write and can’t wait to see where this blog takes us!
