After the Super Bowl, there is always a bit of a gap in the sports world. Basketball and hockey lead the headlines since we still have a few weeks before baseball begins.
Super Bowl Sunday is a holiday-like event in many households, ours included. We prepared a feast, invited family and friends, and hooped and hollered with the best of them.
If Don had lost in his Hometown Trophy League, the title of this post would be Playoff Result. Period. But, he won! I am very glad to be able to report his triumph, because Sunday was one of the most nerve-racking days ever in our household.
Don’s birthday couldn’t fall at a better time of year for him. Especially when his special day lands on Playoff Sunday and his Hometown Fantasy League Team is in the playoffs!
The pressure was on in Week Seventeen. The final week of Fantasy Football is very nerve-racking since you never know who is going to play and who is going to sit the bench.
Week Sixteen was interrupted by Santa Claus? Gift wrapping, parties and baking took precedence over Fantasy Football – said no one ever. However, Don’s Week Sixteen was slightly interrupted by his crazy work schedule and mine was hijacked by a mean strep bug.

Week Fourteen was an exciting week for Cleveland Browns fans. Baker Mayfield led his team to another win, keeping our playoff hopes and dreams alive. Week Twelve was one of the most successful local sports weeks in current history. On Friday, the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Philadelphia 76ers.
