Our predictions post is always a fun one because it requires that we read our previous predictions.
Unofficially, this prediction and opinion column should be renamed “Our Wish List”.
We always predict the Browns’ wins. Eleven wins is popular according to past posts. In the spirit of keeping it real, our prediction is they will win 8 games this season. Most of the year is going to be played with a backup quarterback, and nobody really knows how Deshaun Watson will perform after not playing for almost two years. We are hoping Jacoby Brissett excels as QB1 and leads the team to victory after victory. (Going back to the Wish List mindset.)
Jahan Dotson, Wide Receiver for the Washington Commanders, and Drake London, Wide Receiver for the Atlanta Falcons, will be the leading rookies in receiving yards. Drake London doesn’t have the competition in Atlanta that Dotson has in Washington, so we would rank him higher in fantasy points.
Conflicting Tom Brady predictions. Superstar that he is, it seems highly likely in my opinion that he will take the Buccaneers to the Super Bowl. Don thinks this will be the year that his numbers will drop off. He doesn’t think that his performance will be terrible, but he expects him to drop out of the top ten QBs.
Don thinks the Buffalo Bills will go up against the LA Chargers in AFC Championship. The LA Rams and Minnesota Vikings will play in the NFC Championship. Super Bowl LVII prediction is the Bills over the Rams. Of course, The Wish List would include the Cleveland Browns winning the Super Bowl, but that is not in the cards.
Our fun predictions that are almost a 100% certainty: Football Sundays will include good food, RedZone, family time, and quite a bit of fantasy football competition. We are pitted against each other in two leagues – Troy Norris’s Smack Down Sports Legends League and Howard Bender’s Dirty Laundry League.
Let the games begin!
