The first thing on our minds when it comes to the new season of the Scott Fish Bowl is always wondering if we will get in. The Scott Fish Bowl is the biggest charity Fantasy Football league in the world. Tens of thousands of people apply, so it is an honor to be chosen to play.
This is Don’s third year to play and his second live draft. This year, he chose the live draft in Pittsburgh at the Voodoo Brewing Company – shoutout to Shane Hallam for organizing a super fun experience!
The mission of the Scott Fish Bowl is to raise money for several charities, and each live event does its part in the fundraising department. The Pittsburgh Live had so many baskets to choose from, and we wanted to win them all. Don finally decided to enter a bidding war and won the Dynasty basket which includes everything a person could possibly need to succeed in a Dynasty League.
Ryan Kennedy had a surprise for all of us! He brought his friend, Brett Kaiser, formerly a defensive end for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Brett graciously took photos with everyone, showed off his Super Bowl ring, and signed autographs. Ryan’s family also joined him at the draft. It was a pleasure to spend time chatting with them.
Don had the fourth pick and started his draft with Jalen Hurts. His strategy was to draft two quarterbacks and then pick up a couple tight ends since tight ends are valuable in this league. Here’s a look at his team:
My division was a slow draft which ended a few days ago. The strategy I used was taking a top player at each position. My team looks like this – let me know what you think!
