The NFL released the 2017 regular season schedule today. No other sports schedule garners the excitement of fans quite like the NFL does.
First we look to see our team’s schedule. The Browns start and finish the season against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Maybe this is the year that the Browns will give the Steelers a little competition. Oh boy. That’s all I have to say about that!
Week Six is a reunion game. Brock Osweiler (if he is still with the Browns) will play against his former team, the Houston Texans. Week Eight, the Browns travel to London and play the Minnesota Vikings. We are excited about that because it will be a 9:30 am game, meaning football will be on an extra four hours that day! No surprise here, the Browns and the Jacksonville Jaguars are the only two teams that will not play on Prime Time this year.
The official season kicks off September 7th, when the Kansas City Chiefs take on the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football. Roger Goodell will be in attendance at that game, and it will be interesting to see the reaction he gets from the Patriots fans. None of them are big Goodell fans, which was made clear at the Super Bowl!
Only 139 days til football season! The draft is next week, training camp will be here before we know it and then the pre-season games will start. I have a feeling those 139 days are going to fly by!
