Thursday night the NFL announced their 2020 schedule, made especially exciting since there have not been any other sports events to watch.
We were, of course, most interested in the Browns schedule, but we are also looking ahead to our first Eliminator Pool pick. (Don would like to remind everyone that I got knocked out Week One last year with my pathetic Browns pick.) The Vikings schedule is of great interest to us, too, because we are avid fans of Ifeadi Odenigbo, and can’t wait to see his talent shine this season.
The Browns start their season off with two division games in one week- playing at Baltimore on Sunday, and their home opener against Cincinnati on Thursday night. Cleveland is going to be one rocking city all day and night on September 17th!
The most anticipated game, and possibly the most anticipated revenge game for any team, will be Week 15 on December 20th when the Browns travel to the New York Giants. Odell Beckham, Jr. will be going back to play against his old team who traded him away to Cleveland. Daily Fantasy Sports players – mark this on your calendar: Odell will go off this game to the tune of at least 2 touchdowns, 100 yards, and 8-10 catches. He will be in almost all of our daily lineups that week.
Even though some Pittsburgh fans don’t think of it as much of a rivalry anymore, where we live (halfway between Cleveland and Pittsburgh) it is still a huge rivalry. We always look forward to Browns/Steelers games and this year the first matchup is Week 6 on October 18th, and then we play them the final week of the season, January 3rd. We would love to see this last game be for the playoffs, and, in our neck of the woods, Cleveland beating Pittsburgh is almost like a Super Bowl win.
After looking at the entire schedule, we both came up with our own prediction, and surprisingly have the same outcome: 10-6. Only time will tell!
