This is a very special blog post, and we have been thinking about it for a few months. We want it to be perfect.
We start out writing our blog posts the same each and every time. I ask Don what we should call it and he says he isn’t good at titles. Titles are my department.
So, why should this time be any different? I asked Don what we should call this very special blog post, and he answered, Two Hundred. Two Hundred what? He said, just Two Hundred. Why couldn’t he have the same answer he had the past 199 times?
This is Number Two Hundred. We never dreamed we would reach 200 blog posts, or maybe we did dream, but it seems like such a big number! We have other big numbers that are much larger than we ever could have dreamed: Our blog is followed in 44 countries by a little over 10,000 awesome people. A few of our followers are friends and family that read because they love us, but there are very many of y’all who we have never met.
We think it would be fun to tell a little bit about ourselves outside of the Fantasy Football world.
Don is really funny. Not the always cracking jokes kind of funny, but the sneak up on you when you least expect it kind of funny. When he makes me laugh, it is the tears streaming down my face, might wet my pants kind of laugh. Don is a hard worker. Nobody will out work him. Whether it is at his job, or doing yard work, or helping with his son’s baseball team, he is all in. And, one of my favorite things about Don is that he is a good guy. The kind of guy who is willing to throw hundreds of pitches to my grandsons when it is 100+ degrees, rescue my daughter from driving in a blizzard, and co-write a fantasy football blog with me.
He says I am very nice and that I will do anything for anybody no matter the time of day or night. I love animals and treat our pets like royalty. I would rather stay home with our dogs than go out to a fancy restaurant any day of the week. His last Sal Fact is that I am very determined. If I don’t know how to do something, I will figure it out. Like this blog. I had never built a website before but after hours and hours of reading how-to’s and watching YouTube, and too many mistakes to count, we were up and running.
We appreciate everyone who follows our blog and hope you have all enjoyed our two hundredth post. We have enjoyed writing it, and the previous one hundred and ninety-nine!
