The NFL survived three weeks of games before COVID-19 reared its ugly head. Although there have been more injuries than usual, all the games were played and Fantasy Football has been normal.
In the Smack Down Sports Legends League, Don is 3-0 and I am 1-2. On a positive note, I scored the third most points this week, so it was just the way the cookie crumbled. If Don and I had played each other this week instead of Week One, I would have beat him.
Don won his Sirius XM Subscriber Ring of Honor League. He played against “Worst Fantasy Football Draft Day Experience”, and the win made his record 2-1. Tyreek Hill was his best performer this week, in a team that has been wrecked by injuries. Two of his guys were already on the IR, and he lost Julio Jones. Tough stuff when it is a league full of fantasy rockstars! Speaking of fantasy rockstars, Don will play against John Hansen in Week Four. John Hansen! Who would have ever thought that we would even be able to write that statement?
Don got his first victory in his Hometown League, going up against John and winning 100-82. He definitely did not want to start the season 0-3, so he was really glad to get that W.
The FFPC leagues were a split this week. Don is 0-3 in one and 2-1 in the other. He is leading the league in total points in the 2-1 league and is ranked 414th out of a whole lot of teams. To give some perspective, he is ranked 4,505 in the other FFPC team. His favorite team that he drafted is the one that doesn’t have a win. That is Fantasy Football for ya.
Don had his best day ever in Daily Fantasy Sports. Every Sunday morning, he is at his computer, setting up lineups and hoping to win the big bucks. He had a great feeling about one of his teams Sunday, and it got pretty exciting at our house around 7 pm. At one point he was in 8th place and there was a chance to win first. He didn’t win first, but banked enough to fund a few more games.
The Cleveland Indians are in the playoffs, the Browns beat the Washington Football team, and we’ve more than likely seen our last 80 degree day here in Northeast Ohio. As much as we love summer, this is a fun season and we are enjoying being able to watch high school and professional sports.
