The fourth week of the NFL season was a little rocky. Covid struck the Titans, with several players diagnosed positive. The first canceled game was the Titans vs Steelers. League commissioners had their hands full making sure everyone knew what to do in case games were canceled last minute.
The Smack Down Sports Legend League has an awesome commish, who kept us updated on how to prepare for potential cancellations. Don lost this week and I won, beating Booger Holler, Jim Norris, 176-164. Norris beat me in the Hall of Fame Fantasy Football Experience League so I really wanted to win this game. If Don and I had played each other this week, he would have beaten me. That’s how it rolls in Fantasy Football. The guy Don played had the high score in the league with over 300 points!
Don played against John Hansen, the Fantasy Guru, in the Ring of Honor League. Most of the Guru’s guys went off, and only one of Don’s did. Even with the loss, it was still an honor to play against The Fantasy Guru! Things won’t get any easier this week – Don is playing against another expert, Michael Fabiano.
In his Hometown League, Don won the high score, beating Rob and Steve. His record is 2-2 in the running for the huge trophy.
Don won both of his FFPC leagues, for the first time this season. He is 3-1 in one league and 1-3 in the other.
It wasn’t a lucky week for Daily Fantasy Sports, but ya can’t win ‘em all.
In what must be close to a miracle, the Cleveland Browns beat the Dallas Cowboys! 87 points were scored in the game with the final score being 49-38. This is a big deal for Cleveland fans. It is the first time Cleveland has been 3-1 since 2001!
We are enjoying the beautiful weather in Northeastern Ohio, soaking up as much sun as we can before winter gets here. Fall in Ohio is the best, but it is hard to fully enjoy it knowing what is right around the corner.
Cross Country is in full swing, and Don’s son, Nathan, is having a fantastic senior season. He placed fourth in yesterday’s race, making All Conference first team. We love watching his success that comes from serious training and dedication. Great job, Nathan!
