Week Eight was a fun week! We won all of our fantasy games and I stayed alive in the Survivor Pool. We had to make a few last minute adjustments to our teams due to injuries, but we were both able to pick up players who had good performances.
SaveTheBees played against Outkast 13 and it was a close game from beginning to end. We were within a point or two of each other and finished with a score of 113.40-112.45! Outkast 13’s Quarterback, Tom Brady, gave an outstanding performance with over 300 passing yards and 4 passing touchdowns.
Hulking Out maintained a lead over Silent Thunder and won with a final score of 149-129. Hulking Out has a record of 5-3 and is in third place in the Moon division. Prime Time is still in first place and is the high-point man.
Don won his Trophy League game, making his record 6-2. Right before the game started, Don had to bench Ty Montgomery due to illness and play the only healthy player on his bench, Travis Benjamin. Benjamin scored a touchdown, contributing to the possibility of The Trophy making a return visit to our living room.
Going into Week Eight, there were 21 players left in the Survivor Pool. Ten made the mistake of taking the Minnesota Vikings and were eliminated! The Pool is down to eleven survivors, heading into Week Nine. I did not choose the team playing the Browns this week – it seemed they had a chance to beat the Jets. Unfortunately for Cleveland, they still have not won a game this year.
This past weekend was full of football, baseball and outdoor fun. October is over and we are still cheering on the Indians and hoping to see Cleveland win the World Series tonight or tomorrow! Go Tribe!
