Week four was one of our most successful weeks so far, and it started out with a score in the negative. After Thursday night’s Vikings vs Rams game, we were losing the Football Diehards Listeners League 93.1 to -9. TJ Suhm’s Pass tha Suga was crushing us!
To add to that terrible start, we didn’t check our lineup before Sunday’s games and left injured Corey Clement in as a starter. To quote Bob Harris, “Oi vey!” With a little luck and a great game by Deshaun Watson, we somehow beat Pass tha Suga. Whew! We usually don’t make mistakes like that, but we can blame that on having a super great time with my parents, who were visiting us from Arkansas.
Don lost his game in his Hometown Trophy League 113 – 74 which gives him a record of 2-2. That’s all we have to say about that. It just wasn’t a good week.
The great news is he won his game in the FFPC Main Event League 152.6 -149.7. That was a close one! Less than 3 points but a win is a win is a win in my book. It came down to Monday Night Football. Don had Tyreek Hill and Emmanuel Sanders, and his opponent had Patrick Mahomes. He moved up a little in the standings and is ranked 897 overall.
There are still nine survivors in the 5 Rings Survivor Pool. Five players picked Jacksonville, three picked the LA Chargers, and I chose Green Bay. I was really rooting for the Jets and the 49ers! It was a perfect opportunity for me to be the sole survivor, but nobody got kicked off the island this week.
We finished Bob Lung’s Fantasy Cares Eliminator Best Ball League in third place for the week with 173.16 points. Not too shabby for first time Best Ballers! At least we don’t have to set lineups for that league, which is kind of nice when there is a lot of fun stuff going on.
