It always seems like it has only been a couple days since we wrote about the last week’s results. Now we are looking back at Week Nine! Halloween is over, Thanksgiving is coming fast and furious, and before we know it….Christmas, New Year’s and the Super Bowl. We are getting ahead of ourselves, but the season is flying by quickly.
I have survived nine weeks in the 5 Rings Survivor Pool – the largest pool I have ever been in. Survivors are few and far between due to a lot of shenanigans such as the Vikings getting beat by the Bills in Week Three. Most survivor pools are down to a small number of remaining players. We lost one person last night when the Cowboys managed to lose to Tennessee, leaving only seven of us going into Week Ten.
Don won his FFPC Main Event game 126-97. He was hoping for a higher score, but it was nice to have a win. This league is a doozy and all the players are top notch, making it really difficult to have a winning season.
We played against Mike Dempsey in the Football Diehards Listeners League and won! The final score was 155.2-90 and was probably the highlight of my Fantasy Football season. Dempsey was in first place going into our game, so now he is tied for second with our team and two others. But Why Male Models holds first place with a 7-2 record. It is really fun to play in a league with experts like Dempsey and Bob Harris, and I appreciate having the chance to play against the Football Diehards. My competitive spirit wants to win the Diehards League!
We also had a great week in Bob Lung’s Fantasy Cares Eliminator League. Even though it doesn’t make a bit of difference, I like that we had the second best score, keeping us far from being eliminated.
Don lost his Hometown Trophy League 96-74 giving him a record of 5-4. He is one game out of first place and ranks second in total points. Mike Evans’ performance only netted 1.6 points; disappointing to say the least.
Week Nine was a fun week, busy with family, friends and football. We are thankful and blessed.
