Week Ten Results

Week Ten was an exciting week for us! We attended a family wedding in Three Oaks, Michigan, which is a really cool town about an hour outside of Chicago. It was wonderful to be all together with family members that we don’t get to see very often. And, the wedding was absolutely beautiful!

Don won his FFPC League game 152-142 giving him a record of 5-5. He is 2 games out of first and tied for third place. There is only one more regular season game in the FFPC league, so he is out of time to make up for the point reversal game.  That one really did a number on Don. He would have had a chance of making the playoffs if he had won that game.

122-61 was one of the worst losses Don has ever had in his Hometown Trophy League. I mean, did any of his players even show up? Without going into detail, Don is nowhere near being the highpoint man in his league anymore.

All of our players in the Football Diehards Listeners League showed up! Thanks to tremendous effort by almost every player on our team, we beat Matt Kettlewell’s The Kettlesquad 229-141. The top scorer on our team was Christian McCaffrey with 36.8 points, followed closely by Mitchell Trubisky, Nick Chubb, Davante Adams, Tyreek Hill, Julian Edelman, and the New Orleans kicker Will Lutz. This week’s team was the dream team! We are tied for first place with a record of 7-3 and have second highest points.

I survived another week in the 5 Rings Survivor Pool with the LA Chargers. The pool is down to six with one unlucky player picking the New York Jets. The Buffalo Bills have done a dandy job of knocking a lot of folks out of the Survivor Pool, and I won’t be caught picking against them!

We also survived Week Ten in Bob Lung’s Fantasy Cares Eliminator Best Ball League. No bragging rights here, except we were not the low point team so we will show back up for Week Eleven. Every week gets a little harder, since their are fewer teams to compete with.

The best thing about Sunday Football was that the Browns won! They beat the Atlanta Falcons 28-16 at home in Cleveland. The Browns have finally found their Quarterback in Baker Mayfield. Nick Chubb had a 92-yard touchdown run – the longest in Browns history. Mayfield and Chubb were both nominated for NFL Rookie of the Week. This young Cleveland team is full of talent and seems to be heading in the right direction.
