Don won all of his Leagues in Week One and the Browns lost. Week Two was the exact opposite.
The Cleveland Browns beat the New York Jets 23-3 on Monday Night Football. Despite the Jets best efforts with their second and third string Quarterbacks, they couldn’t compete with the likes of Odell Beckham, Jr. After a very disappointing Week One, Browns fans were relieved to get the first win of the season.
Injuries are to Fantasy Football what icebergs were to the Titanic. Chances are, Don would have won 2 out of 3 of his games if he hadn’t lost Tyreek Hill last week with a shoulder injury. His teams were weak without Hill and he was in a less than stellar mood by the time the Sunday night games began.
In order to write this post, I asked Don what happened with his Hometown Trophy League. Less than stellar answer: “I lost.”
Lost by 16, defense gave him a big fat zero – played against a guy who has Lamar Jackson who went off for 31 points. Anyone who has ever played Fantasy Football gets not wanting to give a play-by-play of what went wrong.
Luckily this was only Week Two. There is plenty of time to regroup and win.
